Macmillan Cancer Support

At Pavers, our colleagues are at the heart of everything that we do and we want to help and support causes that are special to them, as such all of our 1,700 employees lead an active role in the Pavers Foundation - a charitable initiative which was launched back in 2018.

Every six months our colleagues nominate four significant charities, we ask the employees of Pavers to vote for a winner where they will receive a significant donation from the Foundation.

The Pavers Foundation Chosen Charity - Macmillan Cancer Support

We are thrilled to reveal that Macmillan Cancer Support was nominated as the first chosen charity since the launch.

As such, an astonishing £62,500 was donated to the cancer charity, this will fund a local Macmillan Nurse for one year or could provide the equivalent of 2,232 Macmillan Nursing Hours helping those living with cancer and providing invaluable support to families and carers too.

Kate and Vikki

Kate was diagnosed with cervical cancer at the age of 30, Vikki was her Macmillan Nurse and has provided medical and emotional support throughout Kate’s treatment…

We must not forget to mention the three runners up to the chosen charity, who each received an amazing £2,500 from the Pavers Foundation.

Barretstown offers free, specially designed camps for children and their families living with a serious illness, where they are supported on site by specialist medical and nursing teams 24 hours a day.
