2023: A Year at Pavers

2023: A Year at Pavers

Happy New Year to all our Pavers family!

2023 turned out to be a busy one, didn’t it? As we start afresh in 2024, we feel it’s only right to look back and reflect on all we have achieved over the past year. From new store openings, relocations and refurbishments to our best-selling products, our year was most definitely full! But, as we step into the new year, we’d like to thank each and every one of you who supported us back in 2023.

New Store Openings:

Pavers Store

From the eastern coasts of Skegness to the southern shores of Plymouth, and even the rugged hills of Merthyr Tydfil, we opened an almighty 13 stores in 2023. The full list includes brand-new stores in:

  • Blackbrook Garden Centre
  • Skegness
  • Middlesborough
  • Tingley Garden Centre
  • Sunderland
  • Ashford
  • Swindon
  • Barnstaple
  • Merthyr Tydfil
  • Plymouth Barbican
  • Sanders Garden Centre
  • Huntingdon Garden Centre
  • Nuneaton

If you fancy paying us a visit in person, (and we would recommend it), head on over to our website and use the Store Finder page to find the nearest store to you, our friendly in-store staff are ready and waiting to help.

Next up in our 2023 recap, we’re heading over to Northern Ireland where we relocated to a larger premise in the Bloomfields shopping centre in Bangor. In addition to this relocation, we also gave several of our stores a much-needed refresh.

Gloucester, Dalton Park, and Skipton were among the refurbished stores, not forgetting of course our very first in Scarborough, which opened its doors in 1981.

On the subject of our Scarborough store… In 2023 we said a fond farewell to their store manager, Caroline. As some of you may know, Caroline has been with us since we first began, being the first manager that Cathy hired. We’re sure you’ll join us in wishing Caroline all the best and a happy retirement.

Loved by you

2023 saw the return of some of your firm favourites, including these much-loved floral boots. We also introduced some new prints, like these floral lace-ups, which quickly became our third best-seller!

Casual biker boots were another popular style of 2023, particularly those boots with a cosy knitted ankle cuff. But if you missed the boat the first time around, don’t panic, we will be continuing these styles for autumn/winter 24.

Alongside the boots, another popular style that will be making a comeback this year is Skechers’ range of Slip-Ins. With their ultra-flexible sole and classic slip-on design, these trainers were one of our most popular Skechers styles in 2023.

Pavers Foundation News

In 2023 we were delighted to have reached another milestone in the Pavers Foundation by reaching £2m in donations. The Foundation allows us to give back to the communities in which we work. So many of our colleagues are passionate about local charities and our donations allow them to make a difference to causes close to their hearts.

We are proud that in less than 5 years, we have managed to reach this fantastic milestone of granting to causes close to the hearts of our colleagues.

To learn a little more about what The Pavers Foundation gets up to, take a look at the following website:

What’s in store for 2024?

So, we hear you ask, what can you expect from us in 2024?

Well, in and amongst a few refurbs, 2023 will bring a total of 9 new store openings, including:

  • Otley
  • Wakefield
  • Tring
  • Solihull
  • Swansea
  • Fox Valley Stocksbridge
  • Newbury
  • Malvern Shopping Park
  • Weymouth

As well as these new openings, we can confirm our spring/summer 24 collection is due to launch in February. This brings with it the return of sandal season, (which for a lot of us can’t come soon enough!) Back in December, we snuck in to take a peek at the new season range, and we can confirm it looks exceptional. Bring on the warm weather!

All that’s left for us to say is Happy New Year, from our Pavers family to your own. We hope that 2024 brings you health, happiness and comfort.
