Tips From Our Summer Party Guests on How to Stay Cool Physically and Fashionably This Year
28 May 2025
We hosted a Summer Party on the rooftop of the Hamyard Hotel in Soho, London. We invited friends of the brand to view our new collection. Joined by Traitors legend, Linda Rand, Loose Women host Nadia Sawalha and sister Dina, plus our models, Hilary Whelan and Marie Douse from our summer shoot, plus many of our influencer friends.
Here Are Their Tips For Staying Cool This Summer
Joanne Hardcastle, Heatwave Essentials You Should Know About
Joanne's summer survival kit is iconic, practical, and full of personality. “I’ve always got to carry a fan in my handbag, open-toed sandals (which do not rub!) Oh, and top tip, I use MEGABABE thigh rescue stick, you put it on and you don’t get any friction on your legs!”
Joanne wears: Green Cushioned Buckle-Up Sandals with a pink linen maxi dress, her signature red thick frame glasses, and a green necklace to tie in the green sandals- that's some pro Sandwich Method Dressing right there!

Debbie Paver, Floaty Layers and Leopard Sunnies
Debbie knows summer comfort is about staying light and smart in the sun.
“I opt for airy clothes, there’s nothing worse than clothes that feel too tight or sticky! I also personally try to stay out of the sun. Oh, obviously sunglasses are a must.”
Debbie pairs our Pale pink Espadrilles and leopard print sunglasses with a button-up shirt dress that has us longing for a Euro Summer.

Linda Rands, Light Linen Layers That Never Betray You
Linda kept it classic and breathable at the party.
“I’m keeping cool by wearing a lot of linen, I love linens. I also actually have aircon installed in my bedroom because I can’t stand being hot in bed.”
Linda wears a longline stripe shirt dress with blue stripes, silver accessories, and dark burgundy glasses that match her nails. We recommend our Silver zip fasten trainers to complement this look.

Nadia Sawalha's Summer Rituals, Cold Tubs, Champagne and Airy Dresses
Nadia is all about keeping it cool for the summer.
“I have a hot tub that we always keep freezing cold because we’re of that age! Only a blow-up one, nothing flash. But we like to sit in there and drink champagne to keep cool. My sister Dina likes to push me in!”
“When it comes to staying cool fashionably, I like to wear lots of loose dresses, airy fairy, sandals that keep your feet cool.”
Nadia wears a blue tiered maxi dress and was instantly drawn to our wedge rainbow heels.

Mogzee's Bold Summer Statement, Leopard Prints and Two-Piece Power
Morag Atkinson, Aka Mogzee, keeps it minimal and fierce.
“I wear less clothes! Haha. Open-toed sandals, the leopard print chunky strap sandals are some of my faves. I did read earlier that wearing a one-piece was best for hot weather, but I’m wearing a two-piece today that I feel comfortable in the London heat. I’m staying away from wearing too many layers.”
Morag wears our Chunky leopard print sandals paired with a light, longline linen suit jacket with embellished flowers. A black pleated skirt and some chunky black sunglasses finish off our favourite look of the day.

Claire Lopez’s Natural Choice, Breathable Fabrics, and Elegant Ease
Claire keeps it simple, smart, and soft.
“I opt for natural fibres always, they work much better in the heat. I stay away from clothes that are too form-fitting; you need a bit of aeration and breeze!”
Claire wears a hessian-coloured waistcoat with a long white maxi skirt. We’d pair our Gold Espadrille Sandals with Claire’s look-- they're in keeping with the neutral, natural fibre approach, which we love!

Feel-Great Fashion, Whatever the Forecast
From two-piece ensembles and natural fibres to leopard print sandals and rainbow sandals, our influential friends showed us that staying cool in summer is all about embracing comfort with personality. Whether it’s clever accessories like a foldable fan or floaty fabrics that let the breeze in, there’s no need to sacrifice style when the sun’s out.
As for footwear, sandals are forever a good choice, airy, stylish, and always ready to carry you through sunny days with a spring in your step.
So, here’s to staying light, staying bright, and most importantly, staying you. Summer dressing doesn’t have to be complicated; it just needs to make you feel great, and that is always in fashion.
